Mr. Lakshmi Kant Srivastava completed his graduation B.A.LL.B. (2016-2021) from New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune.
Lakshmi Kant is an Associate at Chambers. His areas of practice are Arbitration and allied Litigation, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (“IBC”), and General and Commercial Litigation. Additionally, he has also worked on and has a fair amount of experience in Regulatory Litigation pertaining to the Securities Market, Telecom, and Broadcasting.
As a part of Chambers’ Dispute Resolution practice, Lakshmi Kant is responsible for the Chambers’ wide practice in Arbitration & allied Litigation, IBC, and Commercial Litigation. He represents the Chamber before all forums, including but not limited to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, in and around New Delhi. Further, his interpretation of laws and commercial acumen has enabled him to provide distinguished support to the Chambers’ Arbitration, IBC and Litigation practice generally but not exclusively with respect to Arbitration & allied Litigation, and Commercial Litigation.
In the past, he has been involved in high-stakes Construction and infrastructure Arbitration and represented clients before Ad Hoc and Institutional Arbitration. As a part of Chambers’ IBC and Companies Act litigation practice, he has been involved in and representing clients before the Hon’ble NCLT and NCLAT in high-stakes matters pertaining to insolvency resolution of corporate companies like Shakti Bhog, Sadhna Media, Basantar Breweries, etc. and operation and mismanagement, respectively. On the regulatory side, he has been involved in matters pertaining to the Telecommunication Mobile Number Portability Regulation, 2009, the issue of providing signals to OTT platforms, and issues pertaining to fraud, manipulation of the securities market, and insider trading.
